Shooting Opportunities at Denver’s Premier Shooting Club

The Golden Gun Club (GGC), Denver’s premier shooting club, located 22 miles east of Denver in Watkins is a full-service outdoor shooting range with a 500-yard rifle range plus trap and skeet courses. GGC is open to the public and offers monthly shooting matches as well as Junior Rifle Program.

The club’s Junior Rifle Program offers marksmanship training to boys and girls ages 6-15 for BB gun and 10-20 years old for air and small-bore rifle. The goal of the program is to develop safe firearms usage and also to obtain college scholarships for the advanced shooters. The team generally shoots 10-14 matches yearly in Colorado with a team going in July to the national matches at Camp Perry in Ohio.

If you need to feel the steel and like the sound of lead hitting a target you might want to check out GGC silhouette targets. You will have fun slinging lead as you try toppling steel targets with your favorite rifle or singe-action revolver. Try your hand at shooting silhouette targets with your lever-action rifle or fire up your favorite smoke pole while honing your skills on the muzzleloader range.

Golden Gun Club conduct regular matches in the following shooting disciplines: Black Powder, Black Powder Cartridge Silhouette, Service Rifle, Cowboy Silhouette, the Junior Program and Small-bore Rifle.
