There is nothing quite like having the worlds most adaptable predator 10 feet away from you, knowing that you have just fooled it, and beat it at its own game! Follow Dead Dog Walkin’ from state to state and stand to stand as we call them in close and share our addiction with you every week!
This week on Dead Dog Walkin’ Trapping has become a tradition on Dead Dog Walkin’ it is something that was handed down to us from our family, and is probably the oldest method of predator control. This week on Dead Dog Walkin’ we are back with our good friend, and trapping expert Jim Saling looking for the elusive Nevada bobcat.
Rewind to mid October, Clay and Alex are out filming coyote hunts in the Nevada dessert. After what seems like an unproductive stand, Clay scans the terrain one last time and spots something unique. Shining in sun is a big old bobcat a hundred yards from the guys! Normally we would be excited, but Nevada’s bobcat season is not open, jokingly we say we will call Jim and give him the location.
Fast forward now to November, the joke has become a reality! Jim’s traps are set and he is actively pursuing the cat Clay and Alex have called in! Little did team Dead Dog Walkin’ realize they would get an up-close look at the cat that eluded them in October. Typically it would have been a phone call from Jim saying he was successful, but after a freak accident, the guys are the ones to check this line for Jim.
Team work and outdoorsmen sticking together made this episode possible, and the team learned more about trapping in a week than they could have ever imagined! Now that the trapping bug has bitten them, all they want to do is run lines! Stay tuned next week as Jim reveals more of his trade secrets!
Dead Dog Walkin’ airs Sunday’s at 10PM E/P and Monday’s at 1AM E/P
