New Exclusive Programs for Sportsman Channel in 2010

Mix of hunting, shooting and fishing shows renew exclusive contracts for January premieres
New Berlin, Wis. December 16, 2009— ‘Tis the season for veteran shows to renew their contracts and declare Sportsman Channel their exclusive home in 2010. Shows like “Mike Avery’s Outdoor Magazine,” “Backstage & Backroads with Daniel Lee Martin ,” “Outdoor Passions,” “Quebec Adventures,” “Maximum World Archery Tour,” “Fly Rod Chronicles,” and “G3 Sportsman” are making a statement by renewing with or moving to, Sportsman Channel.
“Sportsman is excited to be the exclusive home for each of these unique and long-running shows,” said Director of Business Development Graig Hale . “We continue to strengthen our position as the home for the best productions and on-air personalities serving sportsmen across the nation.”
MIKE AVERY’S OUTDOOR MAGAZINE: Skilled outdoor broadcaster Mike Avery ’s award-winning TV show, “Mike Avery’s Outdoor Magazine,” will continue to air exclusively on Sportsman. The television show began airing on the network in 2007. In 2008, Avery won two awards from Sportsman Channel including the network’s top honor of Sportsman of the Year. Beginning December 31, “Outdoor Magazine” will air Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 1 a.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. EST. “I’m very happy to be partnering with Sportsman Channel,” says Avery. “There are choices these days, but I’m convinced Sportsman is the best network for me and my sponsors.”
FLY ROD CHRONICLES: “Fly Rod Chronicles” features Curtis Fleming as he explores waters all around the world. Fleming will share his true love for fly fishing as he pursues the perfect cast and that special fish of a lifetime. This is the third consecutive year “Fly Rod Chronicles” is airing exclusively on Sportsman Channel. The new season begins Friday, January 1st at 11:30 a.m. with re-air Saturday at 1:30 p.m. EST. “We chose Sportsman Channel because it is the equivalent to what ESPN used to be on Saturday mornings – just great consistent outdoor action. This network is the place to be and we are very proud to be associated with the wonderful staff and crew at the network,” stated Fleming.
OUTDOOR PASSIONS: This award-winning series showcases breathtaking shots on land and below the sea in remote areas of North America . Hosts Rob Martier, Andrew Carter and Ray Carignan lead viewers through unspoiled wilderness, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, incredible fishing, while sharing great environmental stories in an entertaining fast-paced format. Beginning December 28, “Outdoor Passions” will air Mondays at 4:30 p.m.,Thursdays 6:30 a.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.
QUEBEC ADVENTURES: Come into the heart of Quebec ’s savage wilderness as veteran Canadian producer Robert Gignac shows us the vast Canadian territory where large Caribou herds roam and trophy fish abound. “Quebec Adventures” will air Thursday, December 31 at 7 a.m. with re-air on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. EST
BACKSTAGE & BACKROADS WITH DANIEL LEE MARTIN: What began as a show following country singer Daniel Lee Martin on his path to country stardom in 2007 is now the example of what outdoor programming is meant to be – 100 percent pure adrenaline and entertainment. Enjoy live footage from concerts, backstage and the life that has made this unique artist who he is today. Beginning December 28, the show will air Mondays at 11 p.m., Thursdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. EST. Martin said of the show for 2010, “Our filming schedule was unlike any other in 2009 and you'll see the results in 2010. We once again overdosed on crazy pills and filmed 26 original episodes that will knock viewers’ socks off. From day one, we've been honored to be a part of the Sportsman Channel and as we all know, 2009 was a huge year for them. Backstage & Backroads is proud to be a part of this team.”
MAXIMUM ARCHERY WORLD TOUR: Joining Sportsman Channel in 2009, Maximum Archery became a must-see favorite among the outdoor viewing audience with their added edge and fresh approach. Maximum Archery delivers to the extreme with bowhunting adventures from all over the world and with host Andy Ross’s penchant for finding dangerous game. The Maximum Archery format is designed to bring its audience fast-paced bowhunting action with something for everyone. “Maximum Archery World Tour” will air Friday, January 1st at 9:30 p.m. with re-airs on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at 12 a.m. EST.
G3 SPORTSMAN: Dedicated to the everyday outdoorsman, the G3 Sportsman takes to the woods and waters in search of new outdoor adventures. Whatever the season, whatever the species, host Scott Turnage and his guests will take an in-depth look at all the outdoors has to offer. Joining Sportsman Channel in 2008, G3 Sportsman quickly worked up the ranks of gaining recognition from viewers. Beginning December 28, “G3 Sportsman” will air Mondays at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays at 9 a.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. EST.
