Sportsman Channel & XFINITY Team Up for “Taste of Atlanta” this Weekend
10/03/2012
City’s Annual Foodie Festival Will Feature Sportsman’s Own “Sporting Chef” Scott Leysath, His Unique Rabbit Rattlesnake Sausage & Much More
New Berlin, WI (October 3, 2012) Sportsman Channel is teaming up with XFINITY for Taste of Atlanta, the city’s premier food, wine and beer festival taking place this weekend October 5-7 in Midtown Atlanta. For the past 10 years, Taste of Atlanta has showcased the city’s food scene as well as celebrated foods and beverages from across the Southeast and beyond.
As part of the festivities, Sportsman Channel’s Scott Leysath—TV host of Dead Meat and culinary expert with some not-so-traditional eats—will be cooking and demoing several different game-related recipes including his famous—and surprisingly good—rabbit rattlesnake sausage. XFINITY and Sportsman Channel (booth 413) will also be giving away promotional prizes such as signed cookbooks, BBQ lighters, pens, tattoos and more.

Additionally, Sportsman Channel’s production team will be on-site shooting interviews and capturing the excitement and energy of the festival. Content plans include filming a game-show style cooking segment where a featured festival chef and a local “wanna be” chef match cooking skills with game meat.
“Visitors to our booth at Taste of Atlanta are in for some unique culinary treats, as well as entertaining stories, exciting giveaways and much more. It’s my passion to discover new, exotic and delicious foods, and I look forward to sharing some of my favorites,” said Leysath. “Taste of Atlanta is a great Southern tradition and we are thrilled to join XFINITY to help entertain and engage with the Atlanta community and beyond.”
Scott Leysath, aka “the Sporting Chef,” is always eager to hunt and fish to discover new foods and find different ways to make them look and taste delicious. Viewers can catch him doing so on Sportsman Channel with brand-new Dead Meat episodes beginning January 2013. Sportsman Channel is available on XFINITY channel 209 in Atlanta.
