Sportsman Channel Original Series Dropped: Project Yukon Premieres
Unpredictable Weather and Treacherous Conditions Await Keefer Brothers in Volatile Yukon Territory
New Berlin, WI – (January 14, 2013) With fifty pounds of gear, limited rations and a pocket full of tags, the Keefer brothers’ journey into dangerous Yukon Territory is ready to begin.
Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, brings viewers season two of the highly acclaimed and popular series, Dropped. The sophomore season begins tonight as brothers, Chris and Casey Keefer, attempt to survive and conquer the wilds of Canada’s vast Yukon Territory in Dropped: Project Yukon, debuting Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 9pm ET/PT. A Sportsman Channel original series, produced in conjunction with Rusted Rooster Media, Dropped: Project Yukon airs exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

Every journey begins with a step, or in this case, the first step of a horse. Not long into the journey, the brothers realize that they must master the techniques of riding, packing and saddling a horse in order to be successful. Viewers quickly see this trip is nothing like last year’s breakout hit: Dropped: Project Alaska. Upon arrival to base camp, the men have one day to organize their gear, sight in their guns and pack the horses. After a rigorous assent to Boulder Camp, the treacherous journey begins.
“The eight hour journey into Boulder Camp was extremely challenging,” said Chris Keefer, co-host of Dropped: Project Yukon. “Right out of the gate, we spot a band of rams cresting a bluff and the chaos ensues. We felt very fortunate to locate the rams, but communicating in the higher elevations became increasingly difficult. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say viewers are in for a real nail-biting experience this season on Dropped. The Yukon provided the ultimate test for our hunting and survival skills – not least of which, our patience and resolve.”
