El Venado Blanco: Mexico Coues Deer
Steve returns to his favorite Sonoran hunting grounds to hunt for a big Coues Deer during peak rut. Joined by master hunter Remi Warren and his compound bow, the men set a camp in the high country and put their eyes all over the dry country to catch sight of these small and impressive deer. Remi has a particular challenge, spot and stalk hunting with a bow for these deer is one of the toughest hunts on the continent. To cap off this hunt, Steve cooks up a Dutch oven full of braised buck ribs slow cooked over coals and buried in the ground.
