Meet The Host

Richard Nance

Richard Nance is lifelong martial artist and recently retired Police Sergeant. During his 25-year career, Richard was a SWAT Team Leader and Defensive Tactics Program Supervisor. He’s taught Firearms, Active Shooter Response, Taser, Less Lethal Munitions, Impact Weapons, and Emergency Vehicle Operations. His company, WARTAC Combatives delivers unarmed and firearms integration training to law enforcement and private citizens. In addition to authoring his best-selling book, gunFIGHT, Richard is the Technology Editor of Guns & Ammo magazine and the Self-Defense Editor of Handguns magazine, as well as a frequent contributor to Outdoor Sportsman Group’s Special Interest Publication Division.

J. Scott Rupp

J. Scott Rupp is editor-in-chief of Handguns and Rifle Shooter magazines and has served as executive producer on Handguns and Personal Defense television shows as well as producer/co-host on Ruger Inside & Out. He is a former member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and was an NRA All American small-bore rifle shooter at Eastern Kentucky University.

Kourtney Fleming

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Kourtney was raised in a hunting and fishing family, spending most of her spare time outdoors. Wanting to turn her passion into a way of life, she found employment in retail sales at a major Washington State gun shop. Kourtney continues to expand her knowledge and proficiency from handgun hunting, recreational pistol shooting and formal pistol self defense training, and she is also working towards her certification as an NRA Pistol Instructor. Rounding out her shooting passion, her related obsessions are waterfowl and big game hunting, shooting PRS-style long-range competitions. As an accomplished reloader of pistol, precision rifle and hunting rifle ammunition, she often finds herself spending hours on her loading bench preparing for her next venture afield.
