It was Terry Johnson’s passion for deer hunting over a decade ago that led to something called Show of Support, Hunt for Heroes.
Show of Support started it all just after the shock and awe bound a nation together. Now, years of footage portraying wounded veterans, deer stands
and standing ovations; Hunt for Heroes, that started as one man’s way to say thanks, is now a TV series that many say is way overdue.
Unscripted, Unfiltered and Unfaltering, Show of Support’s Hunt for Heroes offers tributes and true stories of remarkable courage.
Terry Johnson, 60, was born and raised in Midland Texas where he currently lives with his lovely wife Paula. He has two children, a daughter Amanda, a son Tommy who is a 7 year Army veteran recently completing three tours in Iraq based out of Ft. Hood along with 7 grandchildren.
An outfitter and guide for 10 years, Terry has seen the benefit that hunting brings to those involved. It was his love of the outdoors and appreciation for those serving their country through the military that ultimately led to the creation of a nonprofit organization known as Show of Support Military Hunt, Inc. Terry is the founder and president of this organization which was created to honor recently returning, combat injured veterans of the “Global War on Terror.”
